Le Mont-Saint-Michel

Stockholm, Sweden
Stockholm is the capital and most populous city of Sweden.
The city is located on Sweden’s east coast, where the freshwater Lake Mälaren — Sweden’s third largest lake — flows out into the Baltic Sea. The central parts of the city consist of fourteen islands that are continuous with the Stockholm archipelago.

Finland
A world of wild contrasts
The most obvious contrast is between the annual seasons. The same lake where people come to swim and sail in summer forms a perfect skating rink or skiing arena in the winter. Warm, light summer nights gradually lengthen, until the snow settles and the late dawn merges colourfully into the early sunset during the midwinter season known to Finns as kaamos.

Canada
Canada is a country occupying the north section of North America. It is the second largest country in the world by total area. The country’s border with the US is the longest binational land border in the world. Canada covers a total area of 3.85 square miles and extends from Atlantic Ocean in the east, the Pacific Ocean in the west, and the Arctic Ocean in the north.

Artist / Jan Ironside
Jan Ironside's studio is located on the top floor of a 108-year-old house in the historic district of Rogers, Arkansas. There is no place she would rather spend her days and nothing she would rather be doing than painting. The geraniums are in her kitchen window, the spring tulips are in her grandmother's jar, and there are sunflowers in the neighbor's garden. Inspiration for her colorful floral works can be found everywhere!
According to Jan, "It is the paint that controls the creation. Creamy butter and cupcake icing come to mind to describe the feel of the oil paint on the palette knife." Because of this, Jan's impasto paintings have bright colors and a reach-out-and-touch texture.
